London.

My obssession with London has not stopped yet. I have been reading up all I can about London and how I can make my obssession a reality.

That being said, I have been researching how much going to London would actually cost - airfare, hotel bookings, tours, food - the whole shebang. I need an actual cost so that the goal would be more realistic. I have found a site that makes hotel booking easy, and it caters to a lot of key cities around the world. It is aptly named Easytobook.com.

So they feature and have a list of London Hotels available and I was attracted to their Hotel of the Month - Novotel West London (1 Shortlands, W6 8DR London). It is an award-winning four star hotel with their trademark Novation rooms. It is prime booking hotel spot for some serious shoppers as it is ideal for people who want to visit Harrods, Kensington Palace and Gardens and museums. It boasts of offers 629 spacious en-suite classic and superior bedrooms, two restaurants, two bars, fitness centre, beauty salon, business centre, pay parking on-site, as well as state of the art meeting and convention facilities within 5,500 square metres of flexible space. Not bad, eh?

I would like hotels near the museums though so I need to search some more.

Hell-O, all right?

Just practicing my British slang. :) Ever since I saw KC’s documentary of her life in Paris, Europe has grown with me. I have never been a fan of European places. The pictures I have seen seem so “cold” and lack warmth. People were always in coats and well, all I ever see were grey buildings that are “historical” spots. Boy, how very very mistaken (and dumb, I might add) I was. Europe is beautiful!

Not really the word beautiful. Ah, yes, I found the perfect sentence for it. Europe has culture. I would love to explore the place and finally learn a thing or two about culture. And though it might take me a decade to finally have the time and resources to go on a European tour, it will not stop me from planning my itinerary :).

What I love about the continent is that countries are just, literally, a ride or train away. You take a train and a few hours later, you are in a different country already. And then the scenery changes, you see smaller cars or you get surprised because you see farms! Love it! For example, the UK and Ireland are adjoining countries so I can go there with one airplane. London is the most popular city to go to, but Id love to explore other cities - like Liverpool, Edinburgh and Newcastle.

For example in Edinburgh, a place of so much historical treasure, it would be a great family trip for us. We would just get Edinburgh Accomodation in a hotel that is near tourist spots. The city is very easy to walk around, with interesting sights on almost every corner. Id really take the kids to the Museum of Childood though. This museum is devoted to everything childhood. You will find antique toys, games, an activity area, and various exhibits. This museum is a magnet for children! Located on the Royal mile across from the John Knox House.

The Southside Guest House sounds lovely! (And I write like a Brit now too, right?! :D)

Now when I go to Ireland, Id be sure to check out Dublin and check out the National Botanic Gardens.

Dublin Accomodation is pretty affordable starting with two-star hotel rooms. Their most popular is the City Centre Hotel.

Back to UK, one needs to check out Liverpool and Glasgow because, of course, of their sport, football! Liverpool Accomodation is always a challenge nowadays. Liverpool is fast becoming one of Europe’s most popular city break destinations. After being awarded European Capital of Culture 2008, the city has moved into the sights of travellers and tourists from around the world. (They were already famous being the birthplace of the Beatles). Liverpool’s most popular tourist spot is Albert Dock on the Mersey River.

In the city of Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland, houses the three biggest stadia in the country. No wonder Glasgow Accomodation is packed when playing season has started. Glasgow has been awarded the European titles of City of Culture (1990), City of Architecture and Design (1999) and Capital of Sport (2003) so the city has been hustling and buzzing with new tourists each year. Glasgow has been transformed into a forward-looking city and one of the hippest spots in Europe. I need to check out the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum!

News has it that it has knocked Edinburgh Castle off the top spot as Scotland’s busiest tourist attraction.

*sigh*
I think I just went on a tour with all the things I wrote and discovered.
That, is culture, my friends :)

Dream.

When the going gets tough, I just dream away.

To this:
Hawaii Beach

I promise myself I will go to Hawaii someday. There are actually cousins there so plans may not be as far-fetched as it sounds right now.

I need to get the to-kill-for body first.
There goes my dream again,
