Halloween Costumes

Most my girlfriends have ordered Halloween costumes for their kids already. I haven’t ordered because money is tight and I have been buying costumes for them for four years already. Let us see how it holds up this year. My son told me he is up for trick or treating this year but he wants a Harry Potter costume. I might just have the little girl in a cheerleader costume. There are naughty nurse costumes for me but I doubt I will be wearing any costumes! Maybe a bumblebee or a clown?

All I Want for Christmas..

All I want for Christmas is a new flat-screen TV and home theater system. Seriously. Not even the lure of a new camera or a new computer can make me want anything more. We have had our share of televisions but we think a new TV system will be good for us since we watch TV all the time – we consider this our way of family bonding. Hopefully there will be a lot of great deals come Christmas time so we can finally buy one.

Beddings and Pillows.

I have quite a obsessive compulsive tendency towards beddings and pillows. I consider sleep as a luxury because I don’t get much of it so I want my sleeping place to be as comfortable as possible. I would love to have 300ct-Egyptian cotton bed sheets all the time but I don’t have the luxury to splurge on them. They very few times I was able to buy them was through the help of coupons.

Well, coupons and Overstock.com. I always shop there and use my Overstock coupons. Their clearance section always has very good steals so I make it a point to check that section.

So shopping won’t make you feel guilty, use coupons!

I really want to buy a new watch, after seeing a friend’s watch when we met. It further intensified when we went window shopping and I found out that buying from a friend was really cheaper (cheaper by 50%!). I would choose a watch over a heart pendant necklace anytime. I’m not really into necklaces nor bracelets, I’d prefer earrings. Anyway, it was a good thing my friend knocked some sense into me and told me to save for that dream watch I have always wanted to get. I might be able to buy it in time for Christmas. Now all I need to do is really save.

Eye Drama

I have not been getting much sleep lately at all. It really is hard for me to get sleep when there is so much work (I’m in the middle of something that I want to work for in the long-term basis so I’m taking long to make my presentation look good). Add to the fact that my daughter’s night time routine is completely wacked. I’m at a loss what will work for her – maybe I need to take her out one day so that she will be so tired to even do anything by the time we go home.

As a result, my eyes are tired all the time, there are dark circles around them and they are all puffy as if I spent the night crying. I’m actually afraid to look at the mirror for fear of not being able to identify myself . I am pretty sure my wrinkles are getting deeper and more prominent by the minute.

I need to make sure I get back to my skin care regimen or else all else will go down wayside. I have been looking for the perfect eye wrinkle cream for me for the longest time - it either doesn’t work for me (I don’t see the results) or it stopped working for me after a time (maybe after three weeks).

It is a good thing I stumbled upon the review and feedback site of Terri, who has a great site about eye wrinkle cream reviews. The site is easy to navigate and all products reviewed are shown on the site’s side bar.

I plan to try out a couple of creams, as long as budget permits. I just checked here and the only that is available for me to purchase is Murad Lighten and Brighten.

It actually scored the lowest from all the reviews. So Im going to send an email to an aunt who can get a better cream for me. I’m so happy I saved a lot of money by not wasting on buying the cream!

Last February, Glo sent me an e-mail telling me that the branch of Circuit City near their area was closing down and everything was 30-70% off until closing. I told her to look for a nice video camcorder and I got this baby:

I also got myself a 500GB EHD, I have been wanting to get one for so long:

And as luck would have it, the one I got had 150GB free! So I have 650GB of free space!

I thought this over and over and over again and I decided on this: a Starbucks mug.

I don’t want the standard-sized mugs – it wouldn’t fit me I want the 16-18oz types – wide-mouthed please . Please do not limit yourself to the style you see on the left. I’d want more on the blues or pinks prints. A Tagaytay city mug is perfect. Basta wag lang ung standard mug.

I always have a mug beside me when Im online and working (naks). Im still using a Christmas mug, juskoday. LOL. I want kasi the ones that hold much water (liquid). Tamad ako puno ng puno. It also reminds me to drink a lot. Coffee and cola included
If you can give me a coaster (not necessarily Starbucks, basta matching). Oks na.

The Hunt for the Perfect Planner for 2009.

Here I am again, hunting for the perfect planner. I actually have found my perfect planner forever. But funds are tight and I may just have to sit it out until November until I get money again.

A little background: I live for organizers/planners/notebooks. You won’t believe how much notebooks I have lying around. I also spend months and really waste time looking for one. It needs to be PERFECT. Nice pages, lots of room, ORGANIZED. And then Glo led me to Mom Agenda.

My life will forever be changed.

I have this one for 2008.

And I would have bought one for next year but it’s $42 (Starbucks Planners are more or less the same if you think about it). Next month na lang siguro.

I have my eyes on this one: momAgenda All-in-One

It has fillers, a notepad, little slip-ons for receipts, bills, letters, Matthew’s reply slips. AND it is refillable. You can even have your name on the cover for an additional $4.95.

And it may be steep for others. But for me, FOR the sake of my sanity, I need to have this

We all know plants are where medicines (in commercial form) come from. Unfortunately some medicinal plants are being used in harmful ways. We must learn to regulate them. A plant called kratom is used as a stimulant(in low doses), sedative(in high doses), recreational drug, pain killer, medicine for diarrhea, and treatment for opiate addiction. Kratom is a tree native to Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Myanmar). Its botanical name is Mitragyna speciosa. The leaves of kratom have been used as an herbal drug from time immemorial by peoples of Southeast Asia.

This one is a plant with very large potential to help people.
