Fertility Preservation

There are now a lot of ways to conceive a child. Unlike before when couples who are infertile or have problems conceiving have no choice but to adopt a child, modern advancements in the field of medicine have given choices for couples – same sex couples, couples who choose not to bear their children and even single people who doesn’t want a partner, just a child.

One can now go through in vitro fertilization (IVF), surrogacy or go to a sperm bank to address their need for a child. Even people who are stricken with cancer and would need aggressive chemotherapy can now take care of their legacy by going through Fertility Preservation. Chemotherapy might ruin their chances of reproducing after so Egg Storage and Sperm Storage is an option. Fertility Preservation (FP) is a new field in medicine developed with the purpose of helping women, men and children overcome the complications of infertility associated with chemo and radiation therapy. In addition, patients with non-cancerous conditions (such as ovarian cysts, family history of early menopause, lupus, and Turner’s Syndrome, Galactosemia) can benefit from FP treatments.

There are different fertility treatments and preservation methods available for children, men and women.
