Strike while the iron is hot.

That is what my father-in-law has been telling me ever since they arrived from the US. He told me nurses are rich there and that I should focus on getting there as soon as possible. He told me I can go to any state, conduct a Kansas City Job Search or any job finding placement agency and all would yield nursing vacancies.
I will just keep my fingers crossed.

I don’t know where your FIL got that wrong notion that NURSES ARE RICH IN THE US. DEFINITELY NOT!!! The only way they can become rich is that if they WORK 20 HOURS PER DAY which means they almost have NO LIFE.
An annual salary that is less than $100,000 here in the US is not considered rich. Even $100,000 and more pay scale here qualifies as middle income earner. And definitely, a Registered Nurse who has been IN PRACTICE for 20 YEARS who works only 8 hours per day will not pay them more than $100,000.
