Two weeks after Typhoon Ondoy struck, many are still without dry land. Houses are still submerged in water and relief operations still continue. But as they say, it’s only relief, meaning it is temporary. I often wonder how much it would take for these families to be able to rebuild their lives. It is heartbreaking.

Cars are still lined up at care repair shops and truck accessories are in demand and even are running out.

Christmas will surely be bleak for many.
