Of Babies and Spacing them

So a friend of mine and I got into chatting what would be the perfect time to have another baby. Most of my friends and relatives are having (or just had) their firstborns (most of them are in Martha’s batch). So since most of them are two years old, the talk of making another one is natural. I would love to have babies - I actually want many of them - but sadly, I have to admit that I cannot take care of so much without going mad! I am so inspired by mothers who seem to still keep it cool and look fab even if they have 5 kids under 7! :) I might also run out of baby girl names :D.

So what is the plan? We want four or five. But the Baby Number Three will appear when Martha is four or five and then Baby Four and Five just a year after :D (But who am I to make plans. I just hope I wont get preggo anytime within the next TWO years hahaha!)

The Gift of Fresh Air

Living here takes a lot of getting used to - transportation after 10PM if you are commuting is hard, water supply is every other day, garbage collection is zip|nada|nil, but the thing is you learn to adjust, cope, adapt. One of the many things though that I love is how clean the air is here, and how, even if it is hot, it is not really humid - you just feel hot, but the heat doesnt eat you up. Ever since we got here, the kids havent been sick at all. They are actually thriving. If we were in Manila, Im sure that by this time the kids are sick because of the changing weather. I cannot afford an EcoQuest air purifier but wouldnt it be nice if we had one in the city? Again, it is not about living in the city per se, but living in the area we lived at.

Summertime

It’s not over yet if you ask the kids. We still get requests for swimming trips, especially from the big boy (I believe he is half-fish). It is a good thing there is a very nice pool where we can get in for free, so maybe we can go there this weekend or the next. Martha is not really that half-fish like her brother as it takes her a while to get used to the water temperature, LOL. But Im sure with the correct “props” - waterball, lifesaver, floater, etc etc. - Martha will not be dreading going into the water. Matthew is getting bronzed, and his color is just awesome. But Martha….hahahaha. She is really getting dark! Even if I slather a whole lot of sunblock every hour she still gets so tanned as if I applied discount tanning lotions than sunblock on her! Im still yet to scrap all the swimming pictures I got from this Summer - I want to make them into an album actually.

Let us see. I have three Shutterfly albums on the 24th that I can order for free.
Heaven help that I dont get lazy :D

Day 4

Life in the Suburbs
Day 4 - June 19, 2008

Sunsets + Grandparents + KFC + Shrine

1. It was nice. We got to go the Shrine and visit my parents. I also had time to pray. I so wanted to go to vigil but the kids need to be tucked in bed by 9PM (Matthew actually). I need to device a plan next week. I need to have some quiet time with the Lord.
2. I practiced shooting in manual mode. Got some nice pictures of the sunset and the kids walking with some shots of Lola and the kids. I want to, next time, capture moments. Now to practice being obscure.
3. KFC = playtime for kids.
4. The only downside of the day was Matthew’s tantrums. I really need to learn to control them. It is not that my son has ADHD, he is just very sensitive and moody.
5. Plans for NCLEX | Nursing | Teaching is being thought over. I have been dreaming about medical id tags. I hope it comes to fruition this year.

Life in the Suburbs

Day 3 - June 18, 2008

We went to Manila, supposedly to have Martha checked. BUT we did the wrong move and ate at Aristocrat first then went to UST to find out the doctor has left already! *dumb dumb dumb*. Oh well, at least I are Aristocrat Chicken BBQ again! Yiheee. We bought Matthew rubber shoes and Martha some Dora Slippers which she picked herself (only to find out she switched the sizes so we got the smaller one at home!).

Random Comments:
1. I really cant live in Manila anymore, well not in Manila per se, but Dimasalang. Too crowded, too noisy, too hot, not peaceful. Siguro nasanay na ako dito talaga.
2. Parang kumukulo ang tyan ko pag nakikita ang SM. I wanted to eat Red Ribbon, Chowking, Pizza, Waffles, Mango Shake, etc etc. Tawa ng tawa sa akin si Edil.
3. GAS!!!! Oh my GAS talaga! A full tank of diesel is now 900, whereas last May it was only 600. Grabe.
4. I dont miss Manila. I guess I just want to have some me time in a mall but not really stay in the city.
5. Malayo pala talaga ang byahe. Hehehe.
