Ever since we moved here, the husband (and the kids – with the aid of the husband), are pestering me to allow them to bring one of my in-laws’ Dalmatians to the house. We have a huge backyard, and with the husband being gone during weekdays because of work, he says it would be safer to have a watchdog. Ehem. No way. Im sorry but Im not really fond of pets. What about who gets to bathe the dog, the smell, the food (it’s a breed dog so it needs dog food), all the possible dog supplies it needs – a cage, a chain, and everything else?

I might be amenable to a fish, or a parrot, but not a dog. Please not a dog.
